AT THE RIVER, YOU…
- Will take classes in biology, chemistry and economics to gain a foundational knowledge of the agriculture industry
- Can earn your associate degree and then transfer as a junior to a bachelor’s degree program at the University of Florida College of Agriculture Extension, The River, or another Florida public university

Associate in Arts
Associate’s Degree
Learn the skills you need to start or advance your career in the agricultural industry. With your degree, you will be prepared to work in mid-management roles where you can plan, direct and coordinate the operation of farms, ranches, greenhouses, aquacultural operations, nurseries, timber tracts and more. Your career can include supervising the day-to-day work of planting, cultivating and harvesting — along with financial and marketing activities.
