TRIO, CROP and Upward Bound Programs Celebrate Graduates at two Drive-up Ceremonies

The PÕ¾ÊÓÆµ (PÕ¾ÊÓÆµ) college readiness programs—which include TRIO, CROP, and Upward Bound— recognized program and high school graduates at Drive-up Graduation Parade Ceremonies on Thursday, June 4 at the PÕ¾ÊÓÆµ Mueller Campus in Vero Beach and on Wednesday, June 10 at the PÕ¾ÊÓÆµ Main Campus in Fort Pierce. Students arrived at the campuses in decorated cars and wearing regalia. They were greeted by program and campus staff and administrators who celebrated their accomplishments with congratulatory signs, music, hand waves and claps. Dr. Tina Hart, PÕ¾ÊÓÆµ Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Dr. Edwin Massey, PÕ¾ÊÓÆµ President, presented the graduates with a special gift from the TRIO and CROP programs.

These Senior Salute Parades honored program graduates for their tenacity and determination to graduate from high school. Some of the student graduates also attained their Associate of Arts degrees from PÕ¾ÊÓÆµ as dual enrollment students.

College-readiness programs at PÕ¾ÊÓÆµ are designed to help low-income individuals, first-generation college students and individuals with disabilities continue their education and achieve academic success. Through engagement with college-readiness programs at PÕ¾ÊÓÆµ, students in grades six through 12 gain skills, confidence and experiences that prepare them for personal, educational and career achievement.
